Mercury retrograde author Leona Wisoker put out a call today for game testers and builders interested in helping to refine a game developed for her forthcoming Guardians of the Desert, the sequel to her acclaimed Secrets of the Sands.
“The game is already fully developed, just needs sets built and tested…[T]he game was developed by the devious mind of Chris Adotta. Contact me through FB or at email@example.com.”
The game is a fascinating strategy board game named chabi, which bears a passing resemblance to chess. But that resemblance is only passing. I would love to see some gaming aficianados kick the tires–and I’d love to see somebody design and build a real set. Not only is this game a cool tie-in to the world of Children of the Desert, it strikes me as fun to play on its own merits.
