Money and commerce: just two of the details that seem so uninteresting when you’re creating your own world for your characters to have adventures in. But not bothering to think things through here will probably turn and bite you, especially if the rest of your worldbuilding is top-notch. Are your characters paying for their ale(TM) in Ye Olde Inne(TM) with gold? Or *credits*? Or do you actually have some idea of how the economic system in your world works, where the products are coming from, what currencies people are using and why?
